Systems Developer
Role Responsibility
Shape the future of Adult Social Care through digital and systems innovation
Adult Social Care is changing, and we're looking for talented systems professionals who want to make a real difference. Join our ambitious and growing Systems team at Kent County Council, where you will help develop, configure, support and enhance the business-critical systems that underpin Adult Social Care services across Kent.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience, or a passion for developing expertise, in:
• Workflow and business process configuration
• Finance, provider payment and contract management system solutions
• Digital application configuration and development
• SQL, scripting, databases and automation technologies
• Testing, quality assurance and system improvement
• Technical troubleshooting and business-critical application support
You'll work alongside operational services, commissioning teams, finance professionals and wider stakeholders to create intelligent solutions that simplify processes, improve data integrity and ensure systems remain reliable, secure and effective. You'll support the implementation of system changes, resolve technical issues, participate in testing activities and contribute to developing innovative solutions that enable frontline services to focus on what matters most.
Whether your strengths lie in configuring case management workflows, developing specialist system capabilities, supporting commissioning and contract management processes, configuring provider payment and finance systems, or developing wider digital applications and integrations, you'll have the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding challenges that have a direct impact on frontline services.
This is an exciting time to join us. We're modernising our systems, embracing automation and AI-enabled technologies, and redesigning how digital services support practice and business operations. If you enjoy solving complex problems, working collaboratively with stakeholders and turning business needs into practical digital solutions, we'd love to hear from you. The role offers the opportunity to develop specialist technical expertise while helping shape the technology that supports some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
No two days are the same, and every improvement you deliver will help Adult Social Care better support people to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives.
