Permanent Relief Support Workers

Rusthall short breaks service is looking for supportive and motivated people to work in our service on an ad hoc basis, to support Adults with Learning Disabilities and associated needs.  Your role will be to empower them to make informed choices about their care and support, including activities at the service and out in the community.

Rusthall is in the village of Rusthall.  Rusthall is a village located approximately 2 miles to the West of the spa town of Tunbridge Wells in Kent. 

You will be assisting with all aspects of personal care while observing dignity and respect and encouraging independence skills.

You must be able to work on your own and as part of a team.

You must have the ability to record, report and monitor on a daily basis.

A willingness to undertake mandatory training and further development is a requirement of the role.

This role will be an ad hoc role where you will be offered work dependent on when the service requires it and would be shift patterns consisting of early, late, sleep ins, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
