Support Officer
Role Responsibility
Support Officers provide high quality administrative support to a team of Kent Educational Psychologists who work in schools and settings across a geographical area. Duties include general administration, liaison with Educational Psychologists and service users, and IT support. Key tasks include entering data accurately onto the service pupil data base, maintenance of monitoring spreadsheets, organising and managing service equipment and resources. Undertaking administration for our district and core statutory work and training courses makes this a very varied and interesting role.
You must be well organised, numerate, attentive to detail and have excellent IT skills. You will liaise with schools, multi-agency partners and parents on a regular basis. Having a good telephone manner and being able to communicate sensitively with a wide range of people is therefore also required. You need to be flexible, adaptable, enjoy working in a team, be able to manage competing demands by careful prioritisation and switch between tasks. You also need to be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision and to observe confidentiality.
The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.
