Due to an internal secondment, we are seeking candidates for either an internal secondment for a current KCC employee or a 9 month fixed term contract if an external candidate. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join our collaborative and innovative Strategy team, which is part of the Infrastructure Business Information, Strategy and Assurance team.
This role would suit someone who is outcome and relationship focused with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders. You will be comfortable communicating with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders with strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, preferably with a project management background.
In this role, you will work with a team of Strategy Managers to produce the overarching strategy and standards for our property portfolio and Infrastructure service. You will develop asset strategies, produce business cases and options appraisals, and engage with stakeholders and partners to ensure optimal outcomes and efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will have management experience in a local authority or institution, and a proven track record in change management, innovation, and modernisation of services and estates.
One of your main focuses will be on developing and implementing the Future Assets strategy (part of Kent County Council's Strategic Reset Programme (SRP)) to ensure the KCC estate meets the Council's future requirements and objectives.
Working at one of the largest councils in the country, you will work with a variety of services and reviewing options for a wide range of assets across the county.
