Sports Coordinator (Programmes)

Role Responsibility

The Kent County Council Sport and Physical Activity Service ("Kent Sport Active Partnership") vision is to ‘change lives through sport and physical activity’, and it works with a wide range of partners to help achieve this.

Kent Sport is seeking to appoint a Sports Co-ordinator to support Kent Sport in the effective co-ordination and delivery of its programmes.  This post will have a specific focus on supporting three Sport England funded projects: Satellite Clubs, Primary School Sport Premium and Active Lives Children and Young People Survey, all of which are designed to provide more opportunities for young people to be physically active.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills and who has an interest in sport and physical activity. Please note this role does not involve any coaching.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
