South East Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) - Network Coordinator
Kent County Council, on behalf of the South East Association of Directors of Public Health (SE ADPH), is seeking a dynamic and motivated Network Coordinator to oversee and support the SE ADPH network. This role is pivotal in driving forward the South East Public Health Sector Led Improvement (SLI) agenda, ensuring effective co-ordination of regional public health functions.
The location for this role is Kent although this could be flexible. The preference is for the post holder to be based in Kent County Council (KCC) Headquarters, Maidstone, Kent however it could be based in Public Health locations across the South East region and London and will be supported for remote working through technology. The postholder will work with public health leaders across the South East, liaise with regional and national public health bodies, and provide operational support to meetings and events.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in a politically high-profile area of public service. The role reports to the Director of Public Health at Kent County Council while maintaining close collaboration with regional representatives and stakeholders, in particular the Chair and Vice Chair of the SE ADPH Network.
Key responsibilities include supporting the SE ADPH Chair and Vice Chair in fostering an effective regional network and maintaining strong relationships with local, regional and national teams. The postholder will lead in the development and delivery of the SLI programme, working closely with regional ADPH leads, as well as the ongoing monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment of the programme. The postholder will oversee network activities, working groups, and liaise with partners including the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), NHS England (NHSE), and other key stakeholders, and organise and support meetings, workshops, and teleconferences across the region. The postholder will also be expected to manage resources effectively, including staff, budgets, and confidential information.
The successful candidate will be pro-active and resourceful, with experience of working independently in a complex system, and will have considerable project management experience, alongside demonstrable organisational and prioritisation abilities.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
