Social Worker

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Role Responsibility

If you are a registered Social Worker, then we would love to hear from you.  We are offering an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic and supportive team which promotes professional development.

As a Social Worker working with people over the age of 18 with a wide range of disabilities, you will manage a caseload requiring assessment, review and on-going support to make a real difference in achieving improved outcomes and leading to independent living for the service user.

Occasionally you will be expected to work outside normal office hours and at weekends to optimise support to service users and provide a responsive, seamless and multi-disciplinary approach. (This is currently suspended due to Covid).

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas of Kent often have limited public transport.

This post is based at Avenue of Remembrance, Sittingbourne.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
