Role Responsibility

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced full time Social Worker post in the Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley Supporting Independence team.

We believe that by working closely with our communities, the NHS and our partners, understanding local needs and working with individuals in a positive and responsive way, we can make a real difference. We are looking for motivated, passionate professionals who are committed to working in an integrated team and are ready to embrace new ways of working in order to further shape our services.

You will have the potential to take on complex case work, demonstrate best practice in the team and support the individuals we work with to progress towards their independence and wellbeing goals.

If you are a qualified Social Worker with experience in Adult Social Care then we would love to hear from you. You need to be SWE registered with a CQSW, DipSW or equivalent degree.

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas of Kent often have limited public transport.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore, has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
