Social Worker - West Kent North OPPD Team

We are looking for a motivated, experienced professional who is committed to working in an integrated team and ready to embrace new ways of working, to help further shape our services. 

As a Social Worker working with people over the age of 18 with a wide range of disabilities, you will manage a caseload requiring assessment, review and on-going support to make a real difference in achieving improved outcomes and leading to independent living for the service user. The role is working with time focused complex case work.

Alongside opportunities for training and development, you will receive the support you need and recognition for your good work.

Occasionally you will be expected to work outside normal office hours and at weekends to optimise support to service users and provide a responsive, seamless and multi-disciplinary approach.

This post is based at the EIS Shepway Centre, Oxford Road, Maidstone.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
