Social Worker - East Disabled Young People's Team

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time qualified Social Worker with experience of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards/Court of Protection procedures in the East Disabled Young People's Team. Our team consists of Senior Practitioners, Social Workers and Social Work Assistants and you will work closely with our colleagues in Disabled Children's Social Work Teams and other key agencies, such as Health, Education and the voluntary sector.

 

The team covers a large geographical area and there would be an expectation that you are able to work flexibly across the whole area covered by the team.

 

You will be working with disabled young people aged between 18 and 25 supporting them to progress towards independence. The role within our team will enable you to gain further experience in a wide range of work including Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and supporting young people into adulthood.

 

You will be highly motivated and demonstrate excellent social work knowledge, skills and values to deliver the highest quality service to disabled young people, their families and carers.

 

You will hold a degree in social work (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent), be registered with Social Work England and have a variety of post-qualification experience.
