Role Responsibility

Fixed Term for 18 months

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our small communications team to develop and deliver social and digital communications for KCC Public Protection services. This is an exciting time to be working with Public Protection as we support businesses and protect residents during the COVID pandemic, and the changes brought about by Brexit.

You don’t need to have a lot of experience, but you do need to have the relevant knowledge, training, and skills to deliver effective communications. You will receive support, coaching and guidance to develop your skills and knowledge further and to implement what you learn.

This is a hybrid office/home working post that has its base in Maidstone. The post holder may be required to travel to different locations in Kent to attend meetings or to capture content such as photos and videos of services in action.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council, therefore, has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
