Social Connectivity Officer
Role Responsibility
Fixed Term - 6 Months
We are looking for a candidate to fill the role of Social Connectivity Officer for the Financial Hardship Programme, Strategic & Corporate Services – Strategy, Policy, Relationships and Corporate Assurance (ST – SPRCA) with close working with Growth & Communities. Please see the attached job description. The role is based at Sessions House in Maidstone, however due to Coronavirus, you will initially be expected to work from home.
For internal applications this would be a Secondment opportunity.
The Role
This is a newly created and high-profile role which supports the Strategic Programme Manager and Digital Lead (Digital Inclusion & Capability) to drive, coordinate and implement a range of activities to improve broadband connections to social housing and multiple-dwelling-units (MDUs).
You will be expected to liaise with colleagues within KCC and partners outside KCC, utilise strong and excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring that the project is delivered effectively to the required standards and within the agreed deadlines.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This role is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
