Skills for Life Lecturer

Role Responsibility

You will be joining an expanding team and this exciting role will require you to teach and support Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC), 16 -18 year old young people. It would be preferable if you had experience in teaching ESOL and Functional Skills maths, however applications will be accepted if you have a preference in one of these subjects. You must be willing to work with other teams within Community, Learning and Skills and also be willing to develop your CPD.

It would be preferable if you had experience of working with vulnerable young people. You will have empathy and an understanding of UASC and be dedicated in the development of the education of these young people.  

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
