Role Responsibility
Treetops offers overnight short breaks for children in Kent from the age of 5 to 18 years old, who have learning disabilities and/or Autism, and will have some additional support needs. These may include health related needs, behaviours of concern, and help with everyday tasks. We always support children to have fun with their friends and peers, to learn skills, make choices, and to be supported in a safe and nurturing environment, so that they, and their families, can have a break.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who is able to work as part of a busy team providing a high standard of leadership skills. Whilst creating a safe, nurturing, fun environment for children and young people of varying needs.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:
- Can lead a shift whilst leading by example to the team and children/young people.
- To have completed or be willing to undertake the Diploma level 4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Putting training and knowledge into practice
- Excellent time management with a non-bias approach when on shift
- To be willing to undertake training in medication management and keep competencies up to date. Ensuring the medication for children is given to the child in compliance with our standard operating procedures.
- To work with the team to ensure all children and young people are given the opportunity to gain new positive experiences and social experiences that are inclusive for all.
- To communicate with transparency
- To have awareness of the Children's Home (England) Regulations 2015 and put into practice.
Interviews will be conducted under the ‘Choosing with Care’ assessment process.
