Shared Lives Worker
Role Responsibility
This position will be a one year temporary contract.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Kent Shared Lives as a Shared Lives Worker, the role will be to monitor and support a case load of Carers, ensuring compliance with quality standards in-line with CQC Regulatory Framework, The Care Act 2014 and Shared Lives Policy and Procedures. You will need to ensure that Shared Lives Carers maintain up to date and accurate records of their Service User placement/s, including significant incidents, to assist the ongoing development and appraisal of the persons needs.
You will effectively manage a caseload of Carers, carrying out regular monitoring visits to offer support and advice as appropriate, ensuring that Carers have up to date and sufficient training, ensuring that the Service User is at the centre of care and their goals are monitored regularly and updated at least annually.
You will have excellent communication skills with colleagues and partner agencies, with regard to the health, education, leisure, and community needs of the person and manage Carers in line with Shared Lives monitoring procedure, identifying poor practice or issues and alerting the Registered Manager of actions taken.

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
