Role Responsibility

Adult Social Care and Health (ASCH) (KR10) Opportunity – 1 year fixed term

The challenge

Social care and health services across Kent face several significant challenges in the years ahead, as the population is living longer and with more complex needs; increasing demand on the health and care sector. We are committed to maintaining and improving high quality services, despite funding challenges faced by all public sector organisations. To help us achieve our ambitions, we have a dedicated Innovation Delivery Team to drive and deliver successful change within the organisation.

The opportunity

We are offering an exciting opportunity to support and lead on a variety of new and existing projects that will help contribute towards the organisation’s strategic objectives.  We are looking for a motivated individual who can make an impact from day one, work with autonomy, and can effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, to help support and deliver the change.

In this Senior Project Officer role, you will need to pro-actively lead and drive the work forward, make decisions on your own and independently plan next steps. You may also be working with Project Managers (potentially across several projects concurrently) and will be expected to lead on large work packages / workstreams within the projects; often only reporting to the Project Manager to provide updates / by exception.

The Person

Strong organisation skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships are essential for the role. We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to problem solving, with a flair for creativity in their work. You could be supporting several projects or working with staff from other teams in the Directorate, so good communication skills are a must. You will act on your own initiative to help support the projects, overcoming obstacles along the way.
