Senior Practitioner – Front Door Service (KR11)
We are currently seeking to recruit 2 Senior Practitioner posts on a permanent, part time basis, in the Front Door team, who will each work in one of our busy teams receiving requests for support and new referrals, gathering further information and making enquiries as necessary to determine the correct level of support required for children, young people and their families.
Working week: 1x Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 1x Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
You will hold a degree in social work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and will have a variety of post-qualification experience of working within Children’s Services. You will provide support to the Team Manager and have the ability to work through complex cases in a calm and efficient manner within a pressured environment. It will be essential therefore to have excellent communication and literacy skills.
You will be working within a duty rota system closely with other team members utilising core social work skills in assessment and analysis.
This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh Sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the job description/person specification.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
