Senior Practitioner – Dover/Deal Promoting and Supporting Independence Team

Are you a registered Social Worker with significant post-qualification experience of working within a Local Authority, Health and Social Care setting or related Private and Voluntary Organisation? We are offering an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, dynamic, and supportive team. Our Older Persons and Physical Disability team assesses and provides support to the Dover/Deal community. Our focus is on promoting and supporting people’s independence and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will provide a practice and supervisory service to both registered and unregistered staff within the team, ensuring safe practice and adherence to current legislation and local authority policies, procedures, and practice guidance. Work with local social care health systems, leading close working with service providers to support service users to work towards their independence and wellbeing goals. Excellent communication skills are essential to facilitate this.  

 You will be accountable for your own performance and monitor the performance of a designated group of professional staff within the team taking appropriate action and provide support to maintain high practice standards. Support the Team Manager in the recruitment and induction of new staff. Manage and support the development of the team’s knowledge base and expertise as well as supporting the day to day management of the team to ensure services are delivered and meet the standards required.
