Senior Management Information Officer (Technical)
Role Responsibility
Exciting Development Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Management Information Officer to join the Management Information & Intelligence (MII) team within the Children, Young People and Education (CYPE) Directorate. In this role, you will take the lead in managing the technical aspects essential for delivering a top-tier management information and performance reporting function. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our reporting provides comprehensive strategic and operational insights into CYPE services. This, in turn, will facilitate informed decision-making and continuous improvement efforts, ultimately contributing to enhanced outcomes for Kent's children, young people, and their families.
As the successful candidate, you will oversee a dedicated team, playing a crucial role in handling Education statutory returns. We are in search of an experienced candidate who can showcase:
- Proficient technical skills, knowledge, and expertise to ensure the efficient utilisation of suitable technology for extracting, interpreting, analysing, and reporting on activity and performance data.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, SQL, and SSRS.
- Understanding of MS Synapse and Fabric capabilities.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas impartially to non-specialist audiences.
- Self-motivation, coupled with the capacity to manage intricate workloads and meet deadlines.
- High degree of autonomy, a proactive approach, and the ability to engage with stakeholders from across the Council and partner organisations.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work streams, effectively delegate tasks within a team, and achieve objectives.
