Senior HR Business Adviser

Role Responsibility

Kent County Council is one of the largest councils in the country, providing more than 300 wide-ranging services for around 1.6 million residents.

This variety is reflected in this challenging and exciting career opportunity within the HR Team, supporting and enabling our managers to achieve their business outcomes with competence and confidence.

As an experienced HR Adviser, you will be confident in operating in a consultancy/advisory capacity and be able to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation to deliver business focused solutions.

Working as part of a collaborative, supportive and customer focused team, this will include the interpretation of employment legislation and internal policies and procedures for both managers and external partners.

You will manage a variety of complex project types providing expert and integrated advice on subjects such as disciplinaries, organisational design, grievances, performance and capability, equality and diversity and employment policy in a way that is responsive to the changing needs of the organisation.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
