Senior HR Business Adviser

Role Responsibility

We currently have an exciting opportunity for two Senior HR Business Advisers to join our collaborative, supportive and customer focused HR/OD team.

Working at one of the largest councils in the country, you will work with a variety of services to support and enable our managers to achieve their business outcomes so they can deliver to the people of Kent.

You will manage a range of diverse and interesting HR/OD projects providing expert advice on subjects such as disciplinaries, grievances, organisational design, change management, recruitment, performance and capability, equality and diversity and employment policy.  

As an experienced HR Adviser, you will be confident in operating in a consultancy/advisory capacity and be able to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation to deliver business focused solutions. You will be able to interpret employment legislation and internal policies and procedures for both managers and external partners.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
