Senior Evaluation Manager

Role Responsibility

Are you passionate about driving change and evaluating programs of work in the public sector? This is an exciting opportunity for an evaluation specialist looking for their next challenge. In this post you will be part of a dedicated evaluation function within the council’s wider Analytics service.

Working as part of the wider, multi-disciplinary analytics team, you will be part of a small team of evaluation specialists. You will use your excellent communication and influencing skills to support the evaluation lead in developing and embedding evaluation across the Council, finding solutions to the wide range of issues and barriers encountered by analysts seeking to implement evaluation projects.

You will have a flair for working with clients to scope and lead evaluation projects, have strong problem-solving skills, alongside practical experience of developing, managing and executing evaluative studies in a public sector environment or similar, drawing on a range of approaches. You should have strong technical skills covering a variety of research techniques, be flexible in your approach and be able to advise clients on appropriate methodologies. You will be able to generate and communicate compelling insights delivered in written reports and presentations, with the aim of enabling senior leaders to take evidence-based decisions on services or the strategic direction.

As an employee of Kent County Council, you will receive training suitable to the role and to support your development, along with excellent benefits, including 29 days annual leave, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme and flexible working.
