Salary: £60,160 - £63,836 per annum (Soulbury Scale B 5 – 8) | Plus up-to 3 SPA points | Plus £3000 retention payment | Plus £2000 ‘golden hello’ for those new to Kent

Kent Educational Psychology Service is a committed fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for learners of all abilities. This is an exciting time to join the Service as we develop the Locality Model for Special Educational Needs Inclusion, a focus of which will be working in collaboration with schools, along with liaising with parents and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes and championing inclusive practices.  As a Senior Educational Psychologist, you'll play a key leadership and strategic role in delivering this change.

We offer a generous financial package which includes a £2000 “golden hello” and a £3000 a year market retention payment.  There are also relocation expenses of up to £8000 payable for those moving to Kent.  We offer flexible working arrangements, structured induction, highly regarded CPD opportunities, individual and peer group supervision and the support of an excellent dedicated administrative team.

As well as being part of the county wide leadership team, you will be taking the lead within a geographic area for service delivery and providing supervision and line management to the wider team.  Kent EP Service works closely with other services within an Education and SEND Directorate, there is a strong sense of strategic direction and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for young people.  

As a senior EP your responsibilities will include a range of work, provision of EP advice for statutory assessment and other related EP expert practitioner input; delivery of Local Authority key strategic priorities, including support for improved provision for young people who are neurodiverse and/or have a diagnosis of autism.  Kent EP Service has a strong reputation and well-established approach to supporting schools that have experienced a critical incident, as a Senior EP you will be expected to contribute to Kent EP Service critical incident support and will be provided with relevant training and supported. 

Kent is a large diverse county with wonderful coastlines, and a unique mixture of rural and urban settings. It benefits from the UK’s only high-speed train with excellent links to London and the continent. Above all the Kent Educational Psychology Service (KEPS) is a busy, friendly team of highly supportive colleagues.
