Senior Carbon Options and Land Use Officer
Role Responsibility
A new exciting opportunity has arisen to develop and implement a carbon option and land use policy to ensure the most sustainable use of the KCC estate is deployed at all times. This position will look to establish carbon offsetting in co-ordination with internal and external stakeholders and the associated requirements of the Kent Net Zero 2050 target.
You will be responsible for providing specialist advice, support and expertise to Senior Managers and Members to ensure a baseline of understanding across KCC on Carbon Options across KCC’s estate.
This full-time role will benefit from hybrid working options with a mixture of working from the office and from home. The office base will be Invicta House, Maidstone.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
