Senior Buyer – Property

Role Responsibility

KCC is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer (2 posts available) to join its Commercial Team within Strategic Commissioning. 

This role will primarily support the Commercial Lead in commercial procurement within Property (Construction), across a diverse portfolio of buildings, sites, roads and other infrastructure. 

The focus for this role will be Property (Construction) but the postholder may be expected to support other categories.

You will:

• Have excellent work ethic, be highly organized and able to manage and support on multiple projects
• Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge across Property (Construction) Categories
• Have understanding of category management principles
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Have experience with managing public sector procurement processes that comply with legal frameworks as well as corporate and government polices
• Have the ability to research, analyse and interpret data/information to support development of Procurement Plans/strategies; and
• Be able to write and present effectively and persuasively
