Senior Accounting Technician

Role Responsibility

The role is for KR9 Senior Accounting Technician, permanent full-time, 37 hours a week. 

The Schools, High Needs and Early Years team are responsible for calculating, publishing and paying school budgets, and work closely with schools across Kent as well as colleagues in CYPE, The Education People and relevant Government Departments. 

You will have knowledge or experience of schools budgets, as well as payments and budget monitoring. You will lead on the payments of funds to all schools in Kent on a monthly basis to fixed deadlines, such as government grants and local authority funding, as well as High Needs and 16-19 payments. This will include monitoring and reconciliations, with extensive use of Excel.  This role includes maintaining relevant databases and data sources, and financial analysis.  Excel skills are essential for the role.
