Kent Adult Social Care is pleased to offer a variety of full time, permanent job opportunities for social workers. The vacancies have arisen as part of a re-modelling of our safeguarding adults service.

You will work supportive teams that leads the local authority response to safeguarding adults concerns. The successful applicants will, under the supervision of the Team Manager, coordinate the local authority response to safeguarding adults concerns through making S.42(1) decisions and undertaking S.42(2) safeguarding adults enquiries. Applicants may have some experience in safeguarding adults work, however you will receive support to develop the skills to become an expert in this area of work.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
