SEND Transformation Programme Manager

Role Responsibility

KCC’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Transformation Programme is a critical priority for the Council, working together with our partners to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and families with SEND. We are ambitious about creating lasting, sustainable improvement for families across Kent. This includes responding to the Improvement Notice, taking action on a system-wide Accelerated Progress Plan, delivering our Safety Valve objectives to build financial sustainability and preparing for a new inspection in 2024.

We want to bring experienced programme and project management roles together to support CYPE and multi-agency partners over the next 12 months to deliver their vision of a holistic approach to SEND, as we transform practice, culture and the experience for children, young people and families. 

If you want to use your experience to contribute to being part of a critically important programme and make a real difference to transform SEND services in a fast-paced, diverse and high-impact Strategic Reset programme, we would welcome your interest in the following roles.

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager, to deliver the SEND Transformation programme. Working as part of a fast-paced team you will provide direct delivery and high-quality project management for the workstream activity that forms the SEND programme.

You will provide specialist support to the Programme Lead and manage the supporting processes that underpin the programme, including the development of systems and procedures to ensure that the programme is implemented efficiently and effectively.

As an experienced Programme Manager, you will understand the importance of comprehensive plans to ensure actions, accountabilities, budgets, and timescales are defined and links are made with other programmes and key stakeholders.  

Your sound understanding of project management methodology alongside a pragmatic approach will enable you to achieve expected outcomes to the required standard and within the agreed timescales.
