SEND Quality Assurance and Practice Development Manager
Role Responsibility
An opportunity has arisen for the right person in the KCC SEND Service to be the SEND Quality and Practice Development Manager. This is an exciting rewarding and fulfilling role with the opportunity to drive forward the improvements already made in the Service providing a first-class quality assurance framework and support to the whole of the SEND Service.
You will be the manager of a highly skilled and dedicated team which strives to enable processes to oversee, develop, and improve the life experiences of children and young people in Kent who have SEND and help them to achieve their full potential
The SEND Quality Assurance and Practice Development Manager is the Head of Service responsible for the for analysing implementing monitoring evaluating and embedding the Quality Assurance Frameworks of overall processes across the SEND service; leading a service to deliver a discrete service of QA and practice development to undertake audits, analyse trends, processes and their impacts, implementing resulting improvements to operations, workforce and workforce development including analysing feedback both positive and negative; planning and embedding the QA framework in line with all of CYPE and planning, delivering and training for improvement, contributing to policy planning and lead responsibility for strategic areas or projects and the implementation of service and management action plans and establishment of joint protocols. Leads on national developments in SEND legislation, policy and practice. Provide advice and guidance on matters of legislation and compliance.
