SEND Feedback Officer - Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service

Role Responsibility

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed SEND Feedback Officer to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) service.

In this role, you will be coordinating feedback and enquiries from service users and bringing together all of the feedback from a range of channels to support the Quality Assurance Framework.

Your role will involve working with the managers across the SEND service to respond to feedback received via all of our feedback channels, including Kent County Council’s complaints, Children’s complaints team and Local Ombudsman, drafting replies, and ensuring timely follow up. You will also be supporting investigations by quality assuring draft responses, ensuring that all feedback is dealt with appropriately, consistently and within statutory and corporate timescales.

You must have an in-depth knowledge of the SEN legislation, primarily the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEN Code of Practice and the SEND regulations.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person.
