SEND Business Support Officer
Role Responsibility
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed part-time Business Support Officer to join our SEND service.
The role is currently predominantly based at home but with some degree of flexibility required to work at a local office, as and when required. This role is for 25 hours per week, working over 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the SEND service, working with other Business Support Officers when appropriate, to provide comprehensive support to the service-wide teams. The team supports Special Educational Needs and Disabled Children and Young People aged from 0 to 25 years of age.
The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, be able to prioritise their work and be flexible to meet the needs of the team. Good administrative skills, and a good knowledge of computer systems are essential. The role requires good teamwork as well as the ability to work independently to meet the needs of the service. Training and formal supervision will be provided.
This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
