Resilience Officer/Senior Resilience Officer

Role Responsibility

As a result of two post holders being promoted from their roles, we have two vacancies for Resilience or Senior Resilience Officers in Kent County Council.

Initially these roles will be within the multi-agency Kent Resilience Team working alongside colleagues from Kent Police and Kent Fire & Rescue to support the wider Kent Resilience Forum Partnership.

We are in exciting times in Resilience and Emergency Planning. Events over the last couple of years have shown how vital this work is to protect communities in the event of emergencies. Kent has been at the very heart of recent events and continues is the place to be to grow and develop in this profession.

We are looking for two people with the right personal qualities to grow in these roles. To succeed you will need to be enthusiastic, committed to the work, an outstanding communicator and be driven to make a difference in protecting the people and communities of Kent.

We will support people to grow in these roles, whether you are new to the profession or have substantial experience. You can progress through the career grade depending on experience and progression within the role. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
