Research Programme Lead

Role Responsibility

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Research Training Programme Lead to join our research-active Public Health Team.

Working at one of the largest councils in the country, and in liaison with Health Education England (HEE), Clinical Research Network Kent Surrey and Sussex (CRN KSS), local academics and other stakeholders, you will develop and implement training programmes pertaining to research skills. You will act as a source of advice and guidance for a range of internal and external stakeholders on research-related training. Identify, develop, and support potential Facilitators.

As an expert in the field of research and/or course facilitation, you will be competent in identifying, organizing and initiating the development of robust structures, processes, internal and external partnerships and communication links to facilitate the delivery and resourcing of high quality, innovative adult learning to meet the national standards of research training.

It is a 12 months fixed term contract with the possibility of extension. The Council welcomes secondments from external organisations. Currently we offer flexible working and working from home.  

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
