Relief Team leader

Role Responsibility

We require a Relief Team Leader to work at Blackburn Lodge Integrated Care Centre. Blackburn Lodge Integrated Care Centre is a Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated service that provides permanent care, respite care for individuals and their families, assessment, and enablement services to help a person gain their maximum independence after illness or injury.

The Team Leader is responsible for supporting the Registered Manager in providing a high quality, specialist service, and meeting CQC, In-house performance (IHP) standards and requirements. You will have a critical role of supporting the Registered Manager with managing the day-to-day operation of the service to provide professional support to staff to ensure they are delivering effective person-centred care and improving and developing the service in liaison with the individuals they support and their families.

The required qualifications for this position are a Level 3 Diploma in Health, Social Care or equivalent, and willingness to register/enrol for the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care.

You will have experience in the leadership of teams/staff supporting older people, supervisory experience and people management and managing risk assessments in residential/social care settings.

Applicants must be flexible and reliable and willing to work a mixture of shifts which will include weekends and bank holidays.

Our set shift hours are.

Earlies - 7:00am – 2:30pm

Lates – 2:00pm – 9:30pm with sleep in duty.

Knowledge of all the relevant legislation affecting individuals we support, is essential as well as an understanding of national standards, regulations and requirements of external regulators, relevant Policy/Procedures in relation to Safeguarding, Duty of Candour, Health & Safety, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty safeguarding and Data Protection (GDPR).

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a good command of spoken English, sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
