Reception Safe Care Service Business Support Officer
Role Responsibility
Here at the Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children’s Service for KCC Integrated Children’s Services, we receive and respond to all requests for support at an intensive level or above, ensuring that these are passed on to the most appropriate service for ongoing support and intervention.
We are currently looking for a full time, permanent Business Support Officer to join our busy and fast-paced team.
Ensuring unaccompanied asylum-seeking children transfer from the care of Kent County Council to the care of other local authorities under the National Transfer Scheme (NTS) in a safe and timely way is a critical function of the Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children’s Service (UAS). You will assist the business support in the centre/home to ensure the smooth running of Unit, taking a proactive role in its day-to-day functioning. We are looking for someone who possesses excellent IT and problem-solving skills and is confident in dealing with professionals and members of the public on the telephone. You will be required to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information. This is a challenging, varied and exciting role that requires multi-tasking and a good eye for detail whilst working under pressure in a fast-paced office environment.
