Public Health Specialist
Role Responsibility
We are looking to appoint a Public Health Specialist to join our thriving public health advice team. You will need to be a suitably qualified individual with a proven track record in delivering public health projects and programmes to a high standard. The role will be to develop, support, monitor and review a number of pieces of work across public health, but will initially have a specific emphasis on mental health and wellbeing.
You will be skilled in the use of data to inform policy and programmes. You will have a project management qualification and experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
Kent is a large County with lots of complex public health issues. You will have the ability to prioritise competing demands and objectives, coupled with diplomacy and a working knowledge of all areas of public health.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
