Public Health Service Transformation Project Manager

Role Responsibility

This is an exciting opportunity to take up a new role in the Public Health Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Director of Public Health and Head of Commissioning to drive forward an evidence-based transformation programme across Public Health funded services such as Health Visiting, Sexual Health, healthy lifestyle services, and wellbeing.

The programme aims to improve services for local communities, maximise investment and impact; ensure services are safe effective, and aligned to best practice and are fit for the future. It is a high-profile project for the council and for Public Health.

This role work be hosted in the Public Health team and be required to work collaboratively with internal colleagues and commissioned providers. They will be responsible for ensuring key parties take forward work in required timeframes, running events and workshops, and collating and analysing information to support review conclusions.

The successful candidate will need to develop effective working relationships and learn quickly to meet the pace of delivery. They will need to have excellent time management skills and be able to work closely with individuals at all levels. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively across organizational boundaries and with internal partners. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council, therefore, has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
