Project Support Officer
Role Responsibility
Come and join Business Services as a Project Support Officer and play a vital role in providing comprehensive business support to assist with key functions and service delivery of diverse teams within Growth & Communities.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate customer‑focus, have good communications skills, enjoy problem‑solving and can manage daily administrative duties including efficient financial management support.
The work is varied and will include:
- Customer service (responding to telephone/email correspondence)
- Procurement of goods and services (raising orders and processing invoices)
- Assisting with recruitment
- Assisting with events, arranging meetings and note‑taking
- Maintenance of office systems (asset registers, equipment and archives)
- Compliance with legislation (GDPR, H&S, record retention, inhouse policies).
Working both independently, and as part of a team, you will take a proactive role in relation to day‑to‑day functioning and office cover. A flexible approach to changing demands and ability to assess and prioritise your own workload whilst supporting your colleagues is a fundamental part of the role.
The post is primarily based in Maidstone but there will be flexibility to work a combination of both office attendance and working at home, depending upon business requirements.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.
