Project Officer
Role Responsibility
We are looking for a candidate to fil the role of Project Officer to join our collaborative, supportive and customer-focused Digital Inclusion & Capabilities team (Digital Kent) within the Financial Hardship Programme.
The team/programme
We are a high-performing, diverse and innovative programme, that sits within the Strategy, Policy, Relationships & Corporate Assurance (SPCRA) division within the Chief Executive's Department.
The role
This is a high-profile role which supports the Senior Project Officers and Project Managers deliver a programme of complex projects, funded for 12 months by Health Education England.
As Project Officer you will coordinate projects within Kent & Medway relating to health outcomes, digital literacy and also build and maintain sustainable and collaborative partnerships across Medway.
You will be expected to liaise with colleagues within KCC and Medway Council and partners outside of KCC, utilise project management methodologies to support the Project Managers and Senior Project Officers in ensuring that all projects are delivered effectively and under an effective communications strategy, to the required standard within the agreed deadlines, and be ready to deputise for Project Managers at senior level meetings if needed.
You will have experience of working in the local government sector or for partner agencies and experience of working on projects relating to the voluntary sector and local government and/or financial hardship or similar.
The post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The role is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
