Adult Social Care (ASC) Project Officer

The challenge

Social care and health services across Kent face several significant challenges in the years ahead, as the population is living longer and with more complex needs; increasing demand on the health and care sector. We are committed to maintaining and improving high quality services, despite funding challenges faced by all public sector organisations. To help us achieve our ambitions, we have a dedicated Innovation Delivery Team to drive and deliver successful change within the organisation.

The opportunity

We are offering an exciting opportunity within Adult Social Care (ASC), to support on a variety of new and existing projects that will help contribute towards the organisation’s strategic objectives.  We are looking for a motivated individual who can make an impact from day one and can effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, to help support the delivery of successful change within the Directorate. In this Project Officer role, you will be working with Project Managers and Senior Project Officers (potentially across several projects concurrently). You will need to pro-actively drive the work forward and may also be assigned to individually work on small-medium scale, independent pieces of work.

The Person

Resilience, adaptability, confidence, and sheer enthusiasm to make things happen are essential skills for the role. You will need to be innovative, be able to work under pressure / tight timescales, constantly be forward thinking and work with guidance / instructions, overcoming obstacles along the way.

You must be able to demonstrate good process mapping and analytical skills; to interpret data and identify opportunities. You will be well supported in gaining valuable experience and developing your project management skillset and knowledge further throughout the placement.
