Project Officer Quality and Compliance - Bootcamps
Role Responsibility
Are you an experienced project officer with a passion for helping people upskill and succeed in employment?
Kent County Council is managing a new government programme called Skills Bootcamps which aims to help individuals upskill or reskill to improve their career prospects and meet the needs of the local job market.
We are looking for a project officer to lead on quality control and compliance for the Kent & Medway Skills Bootcamps programme. They will monitor and support delivery partners and service providers to ensure that high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, as well as high levels of learner retention, achievement, success, and progression are delivered.
The postholder will report directly to the County Education Manager for Subcontracting within KCC’s Community Learning and Skills team and be responsible for Supporting Skills Bootcamps delivery partners and service providers to understand learner eligibility, funding rules, and suitable delivery content.
They will participate in commissioning processes to evaluate tenders and commission high-quality service providers who offer the best value. Additionally, the post holder will work closely with contracted service providers to monitor and manage activities, undertake quality and compliance assessments, and ensure that they meet Ofsted quality expectations.
The post will be based in Maidstone with hybrid / remote working but there will be a requirement travel throughout the county regularly to meet with and monitor delivery partners / training provider activity.
