Project Manager - Asset Management
Role Responsibility
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Highways Asset Management and Inspections Team as a Project Manager – Asset Management.
We are responsible for the delivery of the projects and workstreams, set out in our Highways Asset Management Plan (HAMP), to drive good asset management practice across highways and transportation.
Working closely within a small team, this role plays a critical part in the HAMP project delivery and ensuring a wide variety of workstreams are completed. This will also include supporting the Strategic Asset Manager in reviewing and updating the HAMP.
To be successful the post holder will have experience/knowledge of project management, asset management and highway maintenance/design.
The role also involves line managing other team members to support the Asset Management Projects Manager and the wider team. Previous line management experience would be helpful but is not necessary with the right skills/abilities. However the post holder will be expected to complete the Managing in KCC training programme if they have not already.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
