Practice Educator
Role Responsibility
Do you have:
- A passion for statutory Social Work
- Professional curiosity
- Experience as a Practice Educator and of developing, supporting, teaching and mentoring Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs)
- Enthusiasm to promote excellent Social Work practice within statutory Adults and children’s Social Work
If the answer is yes: We would like to invite you to apply to work with us within the Learning and Development team in KCC to support the delivery of the Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE) programme for NQSWs.
This is an opportunity to make a positive difference to Social Workers right at the start of their career. You will be supporting the NQSWs to consolidate what they have learned whilst studying and apply it to their practice; delivering a structured training programme across KCC’s childrens and adults services that aligns to PCF Domains at the Newly Qualified Social Worker level (ASYE) and the Social Work post qualifying standards.
In addition, you will provide support to NQSWs through reflective discussions, advise on the evidence requirements for their ASYE portfolio and quality assure the portfolios through the internal moderation process to ensure that the professional standards are being met.
You will need to be registered as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
