Practice Development Officer - Adults

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Development Officer who will be part of a team that deliver, develop, and influence high quality social work and strengths-based practice that promotes positive outcomes for people who draw on care and support within adult services.  

You will support with delivering the Making a Difference Everyday Strategy and embedding the practice framework, alongside undertaking practice audits, ensure areas of good practice are identified and provide expert advice to frontline staff and develop a culture of learning.

This is also a valuable opportunity to influence change and work closely with the Policy and Quality Assurance Team and Strategic Safeguarding Unit to embed the Quality Assurance Framework.

You will be a welcome addition to the team if you are passionate about social work practice and supporting the people of Kent to live as full and safe a life as possible. 

You will need to have extensive post-qualification experience of front-line social work practice and hold excellent people management skills. .

You will have a recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England as a registered Social Worker.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England
