Policy Coordinator - Kent Family Hub

Role Responsibility

Kent County Council have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Policy Coordinator to join the Kent Family Hub Programme Team. This role is central to ensuring that all Family Hub policies and procedures are current, compliant with legislation, and aligned with best practice. The successful candidate will lead the review and development of the policy framework, ensuring it supports consistent, high-quality service delivery across the county.

The Policy Coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining a clear and accessible policy manual that supports staff across the service. They will play a key role in embedding policy into practice by supporting the delivery of a consistent induction offer and contributing to workforce development planning.

The post holder will work closely with the Family Hub Programme Team, Practice Development Team and Family Hub operational teams. They will also collaborate with a range of other stakeholders to embed policy and enhance service delivery, ensuring that the programme continues to deliver positive outcomes for children and families in Kent.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in navigating policy and procedure. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to translate policy into practice and influence change across diverse teams.

This is a fixed-term role until 31 March 2026 and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
