Playground Marketing and Engagement Officer

Role Responsibility

KCC delivered a successful pilot project pre-pandemic (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrqmU6jUhsc), and we’ve recently secured investment to deliver the next phase across the county as part of KCC's Reconnect programme. Playground aims to promote and evidence the positive impact of creativity and that interactive creative play is vital for the healthy development and building mental resilience of young children; all of which can equip young children with the confidence and social skills for school and life. It also helps to engage families with their children’s experiences and learning, strengthening communication, child development and parent-child bonding. 

Playground will be happening in libraries and early years settings throughout Kent over the next year, and has started with a number of free events across the summer.  It will be followed by a main programme of free weekly sessions that will start in autumn 2021. Led by a team of brilliant artists and musicians, families with very young children (0+) can share creative fun in songs and rhymes, drama, music, dance and art.

We are looking for a pro-active dynamic Marketing and Engagement officer who has a keen interest in working with babies and families and arts & culture.  The successful candidate will work with the project team to lead on promotion and audience participation across the project.
