Permanent Relief Minibus Driver
Role Responsibility
Dover Community Day Services, currently based at The Walmer Centre, Walmer, Deal supports people with learning disabilities to access activities and fully participate in their local community. We are looking for a permanent relief driver to join our transport team to work as and when required to cover for staff leave, sickness, training etc.
The successful candidate will have a PCV / minibus license and / or will have a full, clean driving license, having passed their test prior to January 1st, 1997. The candidate would need to be available for morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 09.30 and 15.15 to 17.15 On Fridays, 07.30 to 09.30 and 14.15 to 16.15.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
