Pensions Administrator
Role Responsibility
We are pleased to announce five vacancies for the post KR6 Pensions Administrator, within our large, highly respected Pensions Administration Section, Finance Division, Kent County Council (KCC). These posts are advertised as full-time, 37-hour a week, permanent posts, although part-time applications are also welcomed. The team currently undertakes hybrid working at Invicta House, Maidstone, and it is expected that this role will require some office working as per business needs (eg. training, group working, project work, etc).
The Role
The role involves providing communications and information for pension scheme members and employers in the Pension Fund. This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
The role requires experience of working in an office administration/customer service environment, and using a computerised administration system. Appointed candidates will gain experience in pensions administration, through undertaking a programme of comprehensive training. We expect a keen willingness to learn about the pension regulations, in respect of the Local Government, and Police Pension schemes. For full details, please see attached job description.
