PMO Business Support Officer

Role Responsibility

We’re looking for an efficient, highly organised, PMO Business Support Officer to join our Growth, Environment and Transport Portfolio Management Office (GET PMO).

This is an exciting new role and a great opportunity for an experienced Business Support Officer to support the delivery of diverse projects and innovation which will enable the next generation of services.

You will be responsible for:

  • Research, coordination and analysis of data, chasing individual responses from all project stakeholders relating to specific tasks
  • Support in prioritising and scheduling the team to be effective in a fast-paced delivery environment
  • Building effective relationships across the organisation.
  • Planning, organising and coordinating internal and external meetings, preparing agendas and recording actions,
  • Developing, co-ordinating and improving the effectiveness of the GET Portfolio, ensuring that procedures are in place and that these are adhered to

About you

You are great at organising yourself and others to deliver

You have previous experience of working to senior management and in a large organisation

You desire to learn about project management and are willing to undertake formal qualifications

You are creative and innovative and look for opportunities to continuously improve the organisation

You are able to effectively manage key stakeholders and able to feedback on project progress

You are not afraid to challenge or to be challenged, and you are curious to know how things can be improved.

It matters to you that the work you will do here will be helping the residents and communities of Kent.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
