Network Project Manager
Role Responsibility
The KCC Transportation Department has recently been restructured and a number of new roles have opened up to work within the Traffic Management Team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to demonstrate their experience in traffic and programme/project management.
The role will support the Senior Network Performance Manager and the wider Traffic Management Team to identify and develop potential measures to improve journey time reliability on Kent's road network. The role will provide technical advice to both internal and external customers and work collaboratively with other highways teams, or external partners, to identify funding opportunities to deliver improvements. The role will utilise systems and data to support mitigation development.
The role will also engage with a variety of stakeholders to support a number of traffic management workstreams including the review of new sites identified for potential moving traffic contravention enforcement, including suitability assessment(s). The role will also have a key part to play in supporting the delivery of the Network Management aspects of Kent's Bus Service Improvement Plan.
These full-time roles will be able to utilise hybrid working with a mix of working from the office and from home. The office base would be Ashford or Aylesford Highway Depot, which can be agreed with the successful candidate.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
